The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) is a non-profit association established by game developers to foster the creation of a worldwide game development community. The IGDA is recognized as a 501(c)6 non-profit under California law. The IGDA's mission is to build a community of game developers which leverages the expertise of its members for the betterment of the industry and the development of the art form. IGDA Chapters connect members in specific geographic areas and help promote regional game development communities. Chapter members network, learn from each other, identify upcoming challenges and issues in their work, and help define the characteristics of the professional community where they live and work.
